Firefox 2 spell checking
Finally, I no longer need an extension to turn on spell checking within the browser. Firefox 2 has an inline spell checker. My first problem with it was that by default it is turned on for text area fields only. To turn it on for input fields too, type about:config in the address bar, search for layout.spellcheckDefault, double click and set value to 2.
My second problem is with the Performancing extension – it doesn’t have spell check built in and surprisingly doesn’t use the Firefox spell check either.
