Overall it was a weak year for great movies. Maybe I feel that way since I haven’t as many of the “top 20″ as I usually have had by this time.

Movies I agree with:
- Kill Bill, Volume 2. Without a doubt!
- House of Flying Daggers. Does’t say as much about the movie as it does about the competition.

Movies I disagree with:
- Spider-Man 2. Pure teenage drivel.

Movies I want to watch:
- Hotel Rwanda
- Bad Education
- Million Dollar Baby

Movies that should have been on the list:
- The Incredibles. Beats the pants off the slimy Shrek sequel.
- Maria Full of Grace. An amazing performance by Catalina Sandino Moreno.
- Before Sunset. Some sequels can be just as good.

Before Sunset – 8/10. Sweet and funny. Go watch it even if you haven’t seen part one. Worth adding to my all time favorite movie list.

Sex and Lucia – 7/10. I liked it about as much as Y tu mamá también. Both start out strong and attempt a forceful ending which doesn’t quite work. Paz Vega, the female lead is certainly worth watching.

I, Robot, King Arthur, Spiderman – 4/10. Couldn’t tell them apart, except maybe for the female leads. Will anyone even remember these in a year’s time?

Clichéd, cloying and full of smart-alecky brats, the story is neither believable nor engrossing. If it hadn’t been for Liv Tyler I’d have walked out in the first half hour.
